We’re the Friends of Heworth, a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and registered charity made up of volunteer parents and carers who are dedicated to supporting Heworth School.

We are a special school in West Northumberland for pupils aged from 2 to 19 years with severe, profound and multiple learning disabilities including autism.Friends of Hexham Priory School (FOHPS) are a team of school staff, parents and volunteers who are passionate about the school and helping the children achieve their goals.

The children are admitted from 27 referring hospitals across the South of England and the Channel Islands, and from the various children’s wards at Southampton Hospital. Over 1,000 children are admitted each year for specialist care by the skilled and dedicated team.

Egs of activities: Quiz Night, Xmas fair, Oompah night, Summer Fair, Magic show, mothers and fathers day gifts. Egs of items purchased in 2015/16 guided reading books, christmas parties and gifts,school extension fund, contributuon to year 6 PGL.
