Emerge Advocacy is a registered charity established in 2016 out of a realisation that young people in A&E because of self-harm need something more. Our Founder’s original vision was to see volunteers supporting young people in her local hospital in Guildford, Surrey.

As Emily’s parents, we believe that we were very blessed to spend the short time with Emily that we did. Emmaus Bristol helps people out of homelessness and poverty. We provide a home, support, training and work experience for up to 30 formerly homeless men and women (known as Companions) in Bristol as well as family homes for those in housing need.

Emmaus Colchester provides a home and meaningful work for up to 31 people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion. Our purpose-built community offers a comfortable home, while our shops, online store, house clearance business and warehouse, provide work and generate the funding to keep our community going.

Finding your way out of that situation isn’t easy, particularly when the only options available are temporary fixes, offering a bed for the night but little to occupy your days. Emmaus is different because it provides a home for as long as someone needs it.

Emmaus supports formerly homeless people by giving them a home, individual support, work experience and an opportunity to get back on their feet again.

We tackle furniture poverty in North Staffordshire, helping over 800 households each year. Our Beds for Kids campaign gives free beds to children in need, and we’re fundraising to open an Emmaus community for people facing homelessness. Our Home & Furniture Charity Emporium helps fund this work.
