Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team (DMRT) operate in a vast area of rugged and remote mountainous country. The team of around 35 volunteers is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help anyone in difficulty on the hills, mountains, crags and gorges in an area spanning more than 2,600 square miles.

Dyscover is a charity providing long-term support and opportunities to people with aphasia and their families. Daily sessions are led by professional speech and language therapists and are designed to help people to adjust to living with aphasia.

The Newcastle Eagles basketball club is committed to working with the local community and in 2006 we launched our Eagles Community Foundation (ECF). The main aim of the organisation is to grow levels of sustainable basketball participation in Tyneside, Wearside and South East Northumberland.
