Love, Jasmine was established by Rob and Kathy Lapsley following the death of their daughter Jasmine in August 2014. Their experiences following Jasmine’s death meant that they had a greater understanding of the types of support that should be available for families who have lost a child and they set up a charity that they felt would meet those needs.

Lower Moss Wood is a private educational nature reserve and wildlife hospital. It provides a place for schools, disabled visitors, environmental groups and others to come and learn about conservation and the environment. The wildlife hospital takes in orphaned, sick or injured wild animals or birds for treatment and care.

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

The Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital is a Specialist Palliative Care Unit and Hospice for patients in South East Dorset and South West Hampshire. The charity, Macmillan Caring Locally, works in partnership with University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust to provide the services at the Macmillan Unit and in our community.
