At Doctors in Distress we strongly believe in the power of talking. This is why we have set up our peer support groups – spaces where healthcare workers can access support away from work.

Doing it for Daniel Foundation provides financial assistance for children and young people with a cancer diagnosis at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow and The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre by funding special gifts, experiences, days and holidays.

Do it for Defib was formed in May 2018. At that time, we were just four local Brackley people consisting of; a cardiac arrest survivor, a lifesaver, a nurse and a financial administrator. We each shared a common interest in helping people gain the necessary skills and confidence which could someday potentially save someone’s life in an emergency situation.

Don’t Lose Hope is a charity that offers a professional counselling service for all members of the community from age 4 upwards. This is a free service for families/individuals receiving certain state benefits and affordable to all others. This service is delivered by a team of qualified and experienced counsellors, in private fully equipped counselling rooms.

Providing support to the homeless and vulnerable in Derby. We do this by supplying them with food parcels, sandwich packs, hot meals, clothes, sleeping bags, toiletries and other items as needed. We currently operate from two large purpose fitted vans three evenings a week.

Dorset County Hospital Charity exists to enhance care for patients at Dorset County Hospital. Working with our amazing staff, the local community, corporate partners, volunteers and supporters we raise money to fund those important extras, above and beyond the NHS budget, which make our care for patients better.
