St Abbs Independent Lifeboat has been saving lives in the North Sea and along the coastline of the Scottish Borders since 1911. Run as an independent lifeboat since 2016, we receive no funding from government agencies and rely solely on public donations.

At Stable Life we utilise equine facilitated wellness programmes to support young people with vulnerabilties in the Scottish Borders who are experiencing challenges. We are based on a beautiful farm surrounded by rolling hills and we are lucky enough to have some of the kindest ponies we know to help us to do our work. We also offer riding lessons and hacking in the hills.

Staffie And Stray Rescue rehabilitates and re-homes Staffordshire Bull Terriers and other vulnerable breeds. Their mission centres on fighting the negative media stigma around Staffies, rescuing dogs from pounds and abusive situations, and placing them into safe foster homes.

Provides emergency food parcels and support to people in crisis across St Albans district. Operates distribution centres, works with local referral agencies, offers advice and signposting to tackle underlying issues, and campaigns to reduce hunger and poverty.
