A community centred church open to all

St Peter's Hospice is a local charity that provides care and support to adults who are living with a progressive life-limiting illness in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset area. We have been established for over 40 years with the majority of our support provided in people's homes.

St Peter & St James Hospice provide care to people with life-limiting illness and their family and friends across Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Lewes and Uckfield.

Our friendly clergy, church wardens and congregations offer a warm welcome to all comers, whether seasoned hands or those of you are new to the church. Old and new residents, as well as visitors, are encouraged to come and join us for friendship, and the spiritual dimensions of everyday life.

St Petrock’s is an Exeter-based charity working on behalf of people experiencing homelessness, with a team of professional staff supported by around 30 volunteers. Over 600 people every year face homelessness and multiple disadvantages in Exeter and the surrounding areas. Many of those who use St Petrock’s are people often viewed as being on the fringes of, or outside of, society.

St Petrocs provides services in support of people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, including outreach, resettlement, emergency accommodation and supported accommodation. We provide access to advice, support, and medical services at our resource centres and have a counselling service. We also have an employment and training programme for our residents.

We are creating a space that young and old can meet to improve mental health and to pass along trade skills and to help out with any repairs that we can assist with for a charitable donation such like bike repairs, sewing machine repairs or make park benches

As a local charity, we care for 1 in 4 people in Merton and Sutton living with a life-limiting illness and their families. Over 1,000 patients and those close to them benefit from our exceptional free hospice care which costs us nearly £6.5 million to provide every year. However, we only receive around 25% of funding from the NHS.

Together we support people and their families across Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth living with life-limiting conditions to live and die well.

Streets Kitchen is a grassroots group that supports those experiencing homelessness in solidarity, providing daily outreaches with food, essential supplies and information that benefits our streets. We work in partnership with many others across the UK and beyond.

At the end of 2023 at least 309,000 people were currently experiencing homelessness. Despite this overwhelming number, there is little to no provision for people to keep their belongings safe from the constant threat of theft and damage. We believe every person sleeping on the street deserves the right to free, safe, and accessible storage for their most treasured items and documents.

Streetwise has been providing a range of Free, Safe, Confidential, Non-judgemental Information, Advice, and Counselling Support Services to Young People since 1991.

St Richard’s offers free, expert care and support for adults with an illness that cannot be cured, their loved ones and carers.

Stripey Stork is one of the UK’s largest baby banks, supporting families experiencing poverty in Surrey and Croydon, with the practical items they need to raise their children. We help approximately 200 families per week, distributing items worth c.£800k/year for children aged 0-18 years.

The word ‘hospice’ can make people feel anxious. Often people assume that it is a place where very ill people go at the end of their lives. But we are here to help as soon as someone is told that they have an illness that is no longer curable.
