Autistic Children and Carers Together

ACCT runs a wide range of fun and supportive activity groups for autistic children and young people in Sheffield including regular multi-activity children and teenage groups, football coaching, arts and gaming, with sessions held in-person and online. We also run a social group for young autistic adults, a parent-carer support group and Autism-friendly activities for the whole family.

Although there was some great support available online and further afield having a network of support locally was missing. Along with a team of volunteers who were able to give their time ALCS started supporting local people in October 2018.

We offer advice, support and assistance to families of missing dogs and understand the feeling of panic when your furry friend goes missing. Lead volunteer, Liz, set up the group after this happened to her rescue dog several years before. Working with other groups to gain experience and knowledge, alongside, Lisa, AJ, Jilly and Lesley, ADDR was born.

Bakiga Community Project UK

We carry out a range of fund raising activities to support the work of Bakiga Community Project in Uganda. We also undertake educational activities in the UK, about the work in Uganda and rural life there. Talks are undertaken in UK schools and churches. The UK trustees monitor the work carried out in Uganda, including bi-annual visits.
