We are participating in memory of my dad Alex Cook who was the Engineering Duty Manager at Glasgow Prestwick Airport. Sadly he passed away in June 2011 after a brief battle with liver cancer but he worked right until the week before he died, that was the kind of man he was, he loved his job and gave his all. I had never heard of Run the Runway till it came up on my news feed offering more places and I knew we had to do it! We signed up there and then as we wanted to run on the runway that was a large part of my dad's job and also show our support for the charities that do so much for families dealing with cancer.
