About The Countryside Kitchen – No Fuss Meals for Busy Parents CIC
About us
The Countryside Kitchen is the flagship project of No Fuss Meals for Busy Parents CIC, a not-for-profit social enterprise based at Orchard Farm in Yelvertoft, Northamptonshire.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to understand where their food comes from, experience the countryside and develop the confidence and practical skills to cook, grow and make healthier choices.
Through welcoming, hands-on experiences on a working farm, we bring food, farming and nature to life.
Visitors don't simply hear about farming — they bake, plant, cook, grow, meet livestock, explore nature and discover where their food comes from.
We work with schools, SEND groups, adults in recovery, people living with long-term health conditions, community wellbeing groups and vulnerable adults.
For many of the people who visit us, it is their first experience of a working farm.
Take on a Challenge
Could you turn your next challenge into an opportunity for children to experience food, farming and the countryside?
Run, walk, cycle, climb, bake, swim, give something up, organise an event — or invent a challenge completely of your own.
Do it solo, involve your friends and family, or get your workplace together and fundraise for The Countryside Kitchen.
Every pound you raise helps us provide Grow, Cook, Eat experiences and overcome the financial and transport barriers that can prevent schools and community groups from accessing the farm.
Your challenge. Their opportunity.
What will your challenge be?
Start your fundraiser for The Countryside Kitchen and help us make sure that cost and transport are never barriers to food, farming and countryside education.
Partner with The Countryside Kitchen
Could your business help open the farm gate to more children?
Corporate partners can support our work through sponsorship, employee fundraising, professional expertise, donated materials or by funding specific workshops and projects.
£1,000 can support a Grow, Cook, Eat experience for up to 30 children, including support towards their transport to and from the farm.
Whether your team takes on a fundraising challenge, sponsors a workshop or develops a longer-term partnership with us, your support can create practical, measurable social impact within the communities we serve.
Businesses have already played an important part in The Countryside Kitchen's development through financial support, donated products, professional expertise, skilled labour, and equipment.
Help us grow the next chapter
In just one year, more than 1,000 people have walked through our gates.
Children have discovered where their food comes from. People have learnt to cook from scratch. Vulnerable adults and young people have developed confidence. Communities have connected with nature. Surplus food has been given a second chance.
But this is only the beginning.
