Our mission is to support people with mental health problems to improve their well-being and live happier and healthier lives. We have grown to serve the community of East Kent, including Canterbury, Ashford, Faversham, Dover, Thanet and Folkestone.

We at Take Off facilitate peer support services and projects. Our peer groups are "talking" or "doing" focused. When a need is identified, we will endeavour to design, develop and deliver a service to fill that void. We have a large group of paid sessional workers spread across East Kent. We support people with mental health conditions who may be pre-diagnosis or have lived with the condition(s) for many years. Our groups are ongoing- not courses- so you can pop in and out of them whenever you want to.

Your Impact

We are proud to have facilitated 413 groups between April 2023 and March 2024 and seen 1525 people at these sessions. In our most recent analysis of attendee wellbeing, it was found that: 98% Said the sessions have had a positive impact on my life outside of group sessions 96% Said the groups help me feel more hopeful 94% Feel valued and have a voice at groups 88% Learned something new at groups 87% Feel like the groups help them stay well
