About Sepsis Research

Health & Medical
Sepsis Research - originally the Fiona Elizabeth Agnew Trust - was founded in 2013 by Craig Stobo, after the sudden loss of his wife and unborn daughter to sepsis. The charity began with one family’s devastating experience of sepsis and has grown into the UK’s dedicated sepsis research charity, focused on saving lives today and funding the breakthroughs that will change sepsis care tomorrow. Sepsis is the leading cause of preventable death worldwide and this charity exists to drive research, policy change and public awareness at scale, helping to save lives.

Your Impact

Sepsis Research is the UK's charity dedicated to funding research and raising awareness of the condition. Sepsis is a life-threatening reaction to infection that can affect anyone, at any age. It kills around 50,000 people in the UK each year - making it a bigger killer than breast, bowel and prostate cancer combined. Sepsis can develop rapidly and requires urgent medical attention. Even then, sepsis can be missed or diagnosed too late. The research we fund aims to help clinicians spot sepsis sooner, treat it more effectively, and support better recovery for survivors and families. Please support us today & help us in our mission to #stopsepsisnow.
