Central women's aid supports and empowers families to recover following the trauma of domestic violence and abuse. We provide safe accommodation and access to outreach support within the community for families facing multiple disadvantage to reduce the impact after being subjected to domestic abuse.
About Nottingham Central Women's Aid
We provide accommodation, support and services for women and children to recover and heal from the trauma of being subjected to domestic abuse. Your donations will provide temporary refuge accommodation and associated support, advice and guidance in a crisis where a family need to escape abuse now. Families can be brought to a place of safety within hours of calling us and our team of specialist domestic abuse workers will provide emotional and practical support to the whole family. Our children's support worker will ensure children have activities, pyjamas and toys to help them through the first few days and weeks of arriving and we will make sure that the room they will share with mum is safe and comfortable.
Our support continues for many months and sometimes even years until the family have resettled in their forever home.
