Mummy’s Star is the only charity in the UK and Ireland dedicated to women and birthing people diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy or within 12 months of giving birth, and their families.

Our mission is to provide cancer support to every family facing this traumatic situation.

Your Impact

Providing support - Where there has been a cancer diagnosis in pregnancy or within 12 months of giving birth.

Advocacy on behalf of our families - This includes support at hospital appointments, working with other organisations to draw in additional support, and employment rights advice, in addition to extending our knowledge base and expertise about cancer and pregnancy, treatments and options for women and birthing people.

Financial support - Small grants system supporting families affected by the costs of cancer in or around pregnancy and in the event of a terminal cancer diagnosis, for memory-making activities. Workplace entitlements or benefit entitlements information is also available on our website.

Emotional support - Provided via online resources, peer support through closed online forums, and bespoke support through a dedicated Support Worker.

Bereavement - In the event of the death of a mum or birthing parent, we continue to support both the surviving partner and can signpost to further support for other family members if requested.
