MCR Pathways

An independent evaluation by ScotCen Social Research, commissioned by The Robertson Trust highlights the transformative impact of MCR Pathways mentoring programme for care-experienced and vulnerable young people. Using internationally renowned research methods over three years, the study revealed compelling evidence that our relationship-based mentoring approach is: Transforming educational outcomes for care-experienced young people Dramatically improving post-school destinations Building confidence, aspirations, and social skills with quantifiable results When Jamie met his mentor Sarah, his life changed: "The path wasn't always easy. It still isn't. But, when my exam results didn't pan out, Sarah was there. When I aged out of foster care and the family I'd lived with for years wanted me out, Sarah was there. When my family tried to manipulate me to get money to feed their drug addictions, Sarah was there. Every time I need her, Sarah is there. I got lucky when I met Sarah." This is just one of the 5,000+ young people currently supported through our programme—each with their own story of transformation. Your Donation Drives Real Change.
