Maple Ridge School is a Primary Special School for children with Moderate Learning Difficulties, many of our children also have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. All of our children have an Education Health & Care Plan, and we work closely with numerous professionals to ensure that we provide the appropriate provision for each individual child.

As a school we have a charity called 'Friends of Maple Ridge' run by some of our parents, who arrange regular school events, and do fundraising to help raise money for the school. We also work closely with local charities, such as The Rotary Club, and often have fundraising events happening in school to support our local community.

We provide an individually tailored education to prepare them for life ahead, by enabling children to have the confidence and self-esteem to be ready to learn. We focus on developing self-awareness, social interaction and communication skills.

Our vision is to provide all children with the opportunity to reach their potential and be as independent as possible, equipped with the necessary skills to be positively included in the local community and the wider society.

Your Impact

At Maple Ridge School, we aim to make a difference to all of our pupils and their families by ensuring that children are happy, feel safe and enjoy their school experience.
