Brain injury can happen to anyone, of any age, at any time. When it does, Headway is here to help.

We all think 'it will never happen to me', but every year around 350,000 people are admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury. That's one every 90 seconds.

We believe all those affected by brain injury should have access to the support they need to live well.

As the UK’s leading source of brain injury information, we offer specialist help at all stages. We boldly campaign to increase awareness and understanding of brain injury, and advocate the needs of those affected.

Our services provide an essential lifeline and are only possible thanks to the unwavering commitment of our supporters.

Because together, we can be there for brain injury survivors and their loved ones – when they need us, for as long they need us.

Your Impact

Most of these people will need help following their injury and as the UK-wide charity that supports people affected by brain injury, we offer expert support to adults affected by brain injury, from the acute stage of care to years after injury.

We help people to rebuild their lives, relearn lost skills and regain independence following brain injury.

It is only thanks to the help of our loyal supporters that we are able to offer our specialist services, without whom we would not – and could not – exist.
