FWC is a social enterprise that unites women with partners in the Armed Forces through adventure and challenge.
Forces Wives Challenge (FWC) is a community interest company that unites women with partners in the Armed Forces through adventure and challenge. It seeks to combat loneliness by providing opportunities to experience the same camaraderie, sense of belonging and achievement enjoyed by our partners in the military.
FWC has 800 members and conducted 20 expeditions and challenges across the globe including climbing Ojos del Salado, Mount Kilimanjaro and domestic events such as the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, Snowdon Climb, Pen y Fan Climb, Black Mountains 20km trek, South Wales Coastal Path walk, Pedal4Poppies and a variety of virtual challenges which have kept our ladies motivated and connected through lockdown.
YOUR BRAND - PART OF HISTORYThis crowdfunding campaign is to help subsidise our next major expedition - the HEROES OF TELEMARK. In March 2022, through an expedition of Remembrance, FWC will be the world’s first all-female team to retrace the steps of the small group of men who risked their lives to successfully sabotage Hitler’s plans to create an atomic bomb. FWC will pay tribute to the men of the daring WWII Special Forces Operation by following their footsteps across Norway’s Hardangervidda Plateau - one of the wildest, most inhospitable environments on earth.
