Welcome to BUST, the Breast Cancer Unit Support Trust, the Bristol based charity founded by patients for patients to support the work of the Bristol Breast Care Centre at Southmead Hospital.
BUST is a small charity with a committee of former patients, relatives of patients, and Consultants from the Breast Care Centre at Southmead Hospital. In the 30+ years since we have been fundraising, we have raised over £4m - this has gone directly towards purchasing the most up to date medical equipment for the Breast Care Centre to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast abnormalities in the men and women in the Bristol and surrounding area. Our most recent purchase was a top of the range MRI scanner at Cossham Hospital for breast and prostate patients. We are so grateful to all our donors and fundraisers. We are all volunteers and don’t take expenses so 99p in every £1 donated goes directly towards medical equipment.
