To empower people in prison to shift their perception of themselves from a socially marginalised offender to a socially included person… a process of transformation conducive to their fuller integration into mainstream society

From a small beginning in 2020, 100 & First Foundation is now a driving force in helping people in prison prepare for a fully integrated future into mainstream society, working with over 100 offenders every year across prisons in the SW, SE and NW.
As a direct result of 100 & First Foundations work, over 40 people have left prison and established themselves in a new life, contributing positively to their local communities.
We have a strong track record of developing programmes to meet need and our 'pre-pair for release' project is our latest example of how we strengthen a persons sense of identity, prepare them for the workplace and integrate them within a workplace.

Ultimately, our mission is to empower people in prison to shift their perception of themselves from a socially marginalised offender to a socially included person… a process of transformation conducive to their fuller integration into mainstream society.

Your Impact

Whilst our primary function is to help prisoners to reintegrate into mainstream society on release from prison, our impact extends beyond the structural elements necessary for release into a more personal approach, one that is conducive to healing communities affected by crime.

Alongside over 40 returning citizens who are now in aspirational employment, many other beneficiaries are now living a better life as a result of being part of the 100 & First Foundation family.

Many find new social networks in rugby clubs, CrossFit gyms and other community initiative's. All our participants are physically, mentally and socially better off than prior to engaging with us. And all our participants know where to find us should they need our help.
