Sadaqah Jariyah in Loving Memory of Shihab Hossain
Assalamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un.
Our beloved Shihab passed away suddenly during the blessed month of Ramadan on 18th April 2023. He was a loving father, husband, son and much more to so many other people. He lived his life for others, and for the sake of Allah, and we would like to allow him to continue doing good, even after his death.
Indeed, Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, 'When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him.'"
We are raising money for two charities that we feel would have been close to Shihab's heart: Islamic Relief and Cure Leukaemia.
May Allah forgive him and grant him the highest station in Jannah. May Allah give sabr to those who are left behind, and may we all be reunited in Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen. Jazakumullahu khairan.
