As a current Travel and Tourism lecturer with 20 years experience of working in the aviation industry, and first hand experience of the heartache cancer can cause loved ones, the opportunity to run a 10k at Prestwick Airport was one that I couldn’t resist. This is not because I find running a joy or easy, that’s for sure, but an opportunity to raise money for 3 AMAZING charities, and as a bonus I get back onto a runway ✈️, a place I love.
I am very proud to support three incredible cancer related charities through this event – The Beatson, Doing it for Daniel Foundation and Ayrshire Hospice.
If anyone feels they can donate to this fabulous event, your money will be very well received and will help many in some of the hardest moments of their lives.
I’m praying for a dry and sunny Nov day, wishful thinking as its Scotland, but as long as I raise some money and cross the finish line, I’ll be very happy to have taken part.
