Now, for anyone who knows me I am a walker.... not a runner.... but I am going to train and give it my best shot... Please help me to support our very special charity for people living with dementia will benefit from by donating what you can. Thank you so much. Please see below the challenge I am taking on, I know this sounds pathetic - 4k - but as said, I am not a runner.
Returning by popular demand, Aberdeen Runway Run is a unique event. Our runners will tackle 4km on the international runway, which will be fully illuminated at midnight. We feel it is truly a course like no other.
We have also set a fundraising target for the event in support of two fantastic Charities.
We, CHC Helicopters and Aberdeen International Airport are excited to once more partner-up to bring the run to the Dyce terminal for its fifth year. Over the previous 4 years there have been almost 1,200 participants who have raised over £130,000 for local charities.
2024 will be our biggest event yet, taking place at midnight on 22nd June.
Our chosen Charities are ‘Abernecessities' and 'Forget-me-not-club’, both of which do incredible things for people all across Aberdeenshire and the North East of Scotland.
We believe that working together as a community our efforts can be compounded to make a bigger difference.
