Wheelbarrow Across Wales
2840
It's 10 years since our mutual friend LCpl Oliver Thomas died while serving in Afghanistan. And in June of each year, in Oli's hometown there is a wheelbarrow race, a tradition he would have endorsed. And thus the idea was born - to commemorate this passage of time, could a group of us walk a wheelbarrow across Wales with which to race?
At the start of June, a team of six who knew Oliver from university and beyond will be walking from the Welsh coast to Kington along Glyndwrs Way, to finish in Kington's annual wheelbarrow race. Oh, and we'll be bringing the wheelbarrow with us for the ride! We would like to use this opportunity to raise funds for SSAFA and United Through Sport, two charities that would have resonated with Oliver. Any donations, no matter how big or small, will be gratefully received.
