Cayla St. Martin's Charity Trip

Cayla Wisniewski

Tenth Revolution Group named St. Martin’s School its global charity in 2019. We were drawn to its mission to educate local children and provide them with a safe environment to learn, play, and receive regular meals. As a tech talent company that helps people find new jobs and upskill, this resonates with our goal to support the next generation.

St. Martin’s School is located in Kibagare, one of the poorest slums in Nairobi, where people have limited access to basic amenities such as food and water. Extreme environmental conditions, including prolonged periods of drought, also impact the local community.

Charitable support is vital to the school’s survival and over the last 5+ years, we have hosted numerous fundraising activities to help fund a new computer lab and art room, equip the children with textbooks, and contribute towards food supplies and a new water pump.

In June 2024, we are returning to St. Martin’s School between 5th-8th June 2024 to help deliver their food program, teach the students about tech, and mentor pupils on various issues.

We have 33 places available on this volunteer trip and every Tenth Revolution Group employee who takes part will need to raise £1,000. This money will contribute towards buying uniforms and food parcels and providing female pupils with sanitary pads.

With your support, we can ensure a generation of young people from Kibagare can access life-changing opportunities and build a brighter future for themselves and their local community.
