National Three Peaks On Foot

Reece Statham-Quilty

In May 2025, I will be taking on the challenge of attempting to run the whole of the National Three Peaks. This means not only clmbing the three tallest mountains in Great Britain but running over 400 miles between them. As part of this challenge, I will be attempting to also break the fastest known time, standing at 4 days 23hours and 46 minutes.

My why:
These two charities were selected for two very different reasons whilst both being close to me. The first charity that I'm raising money for is Walking With The Wounded. As leaving the military myself in 2022, I personally struggled to acclimatise to the civilian world after spending so long in a regimented life. Thankfully, I didn't require external support however, for those that do, that's where a charity like Walking With The Wounded can step in to support those who need it, providing them mental, physical or social support.

I've found my purpose in life and now I want to use that to help support those that may need the help to find theirs.

To find out more about the great work they do, you can go to this link: https://walkingwiththewounded.org.uk/about-us/

The second charity that I am raising money for is Action For M.E.. Having witnessed for many years my mother having this condition, I know how debilitating it can make life. That's why I want to raise funds for this charity, helping support those that need it and funding research to help find the root cause, in turn providing a route to healing this condition.

I want to have an active contribution in helping those like my mother.
