March of the Day
The March of the Day event takes place from March 22-24, 2024 raising money for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation. The event has been set up by Stephen Darby (ex Bradford City) and Marcus Stewart (ex Huddersfield Town) - both ex-pro footballers who have been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
The event is a 175 mile continuous walk around 19 football grounds and the core team taking on this event will be made up of 13 former footballers, friends and family of Stephen and Marcus plus a number of others whose lives have been impacted by MND.
The walk starts at Bradford City and finishes three days later at Liverpool's Anfield
We know Stephen well through his time at Bradford City and have seen the amazing courage and determination he and others in the sporting world have showed since their diagnoses. Me and my husband, who works with the club, are taking part in the first leg from Bradford City's Valley Parade ground to to Leeds United' Elland Road which is around 10 miles
