National 3 Peaks & Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge - Rachel Thompson
On 13th and 14th June I will be completing the National 3 Peaks Challenge AND on 9th August the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. 6 peaks!!!
The total walking distance for the National 3 Peaks is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft). The 3 National mountains are:
- Snowdon, in Wales (1085m)
- Scafell Pike, in England (978m)
- Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1345m)
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is 24-miles (38.6km) round trip route, and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent. The 3 Yorkshire Peaks are:
- Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres)
- Whernside (736 metres)
- Ingleborough (723 metres)
tombola colleagues are working together to fundraise for our two nominated charities - the Children's Heart Unit Fund (CHUF) and Aladina.
