Fundraising for Herefordshire Mind

Backstory - on my grandmother’s 70th birthday, she abseiled down the church in Ross-on-Wye. She raised £1200 for the Samaritans and Parkinson’s UK. These charities were chosen because my grandfather had Parkinson’s disease and my grandmother dedicated many years of her life volunteering for the Samaritans.

Not long after her abseil, she announced to the family that she wanted to do a tandem skydive on her 80th birthday - health permitting. Unfortunately, due to health reasons this was not possible, so I made a promise to her that I would do this on my 40th birthday.

Well, it’s 2026 and my 40th birthday year has arrived! My grandmother may no longer be with us, but I still want to fulfil my promise to her.

I am raising money for Herefordshire Mind a charity that I know my grandmother would be supportive of.
