We are Campaign for National Parks, the only independent charity dedicated to securing the future of National Parks in England and Wales. Our independence from government means we can speak out for Protected Landscapes when no-one else can. With National Parks at the heart of everything we do, we are here to unite, inspire and empower everyone to take action.
Our Vision: Nature-rich National Parks for everyone
Our Mission: To inspire action for wilder, inclusive National Parks
110 million is the estimated number of people who visit National Parks each year. Our work impacts not only these people but those who work in, live in or manage them. We also campaign for better, more equal access for those who haven't had the opportunity to yet visit.
Our work is grounded in a solid foundation of policy expertise, advocacy, analysis and evidence. Over the past decade, we have strengthened our organisation and our Council, which includes 12 National Park Societies in England and Wales, nature NGOs and other organisations, to form a campaigning collective bringing together local, volunteer-led groups alongside national players. We are an influential body that is used as a reference point by these organisations and we coordinate joint advocacy including letters, responses and meetings with Ministers.
Thanks to our tireless efforts, there is now widespread recognition across England and Wales, inside and outside Government, that biodiversity in National Parks is under pressure and in considerable decline.
