Alice Hendy MBE lost her brother Josh to suicide at 21 years old. Josh had been researching over the internet techniques to take his own life.
To ensure more help and support is given to individuals searching for harmful content online, Alice set up R;pple; a digital tool (available to download as a browser extension or through Wi-Fi integration) that can provide immediate support to people searching for harmful content relating to the topic of suicide and self-harm.
Downloads - To date, R;pple has been downloaded over 1.9 million times.
Interceptions - R;pple has intercepted over 47,164 genuine harmful online searches.
Lives Saved - Although we do not collect any personally identifiable information, 30 individuals have approached us to inform us that R;pple has saved their life.
