Loveworks
Loveworks is a Reigate, Merstham and Redhill based charity, with the mission to help the lives of our local community through food.
Our foodbanks provide emergency food to people who have been referred to us in crisis, for example, by debt agencies, GP's, social services and schools.
Food banks however are not the long term solution. This is why we work closely with people to help them become less dependant on food bank support. At Loveworks, we are passionate about working to prevent food poverty. Some of our projects are designed to help with this.
- Our allotments provide fresh fruit and vegetables to our community.
- Cookery classes are aimed at helping people make the most of the food that they have.
Whilst we work to change the dependency on food banks, for the time being they are essential and demand is growing. This is why we need and appreciate your support.
Your Impact
In 2023 we handed out over 3000 food parcels to individuals and families in our local area, who otherwise could have gone hungry.
This year, we continue to see an increase in the need for food support. People are driven to use food banks for many reasons. It could be a change in family circumstances, unemployment, a medical reason, or just because their income cannot cover the rise in the cost of living today.
Every donation to Loveworks really does make a difference to someone in our community when they need it most.
Loveworks was based on a vision of mobilising the community to help the community. We rely on the support of our amazing fundraisers and volunteers.
