Direct Aid For Orphaned Children in Gaza

Connections Collective is an initiative started by Irish mother, Ranae von Meding, as a way of directly helping families and children in Gaza.

Now through a partnership with Children Not Numbers, you can help the most vulnerable children in Gaza. Your donation will go directly to include children in their Orphan programme. Less than €100 per month could be a lifeline for a child who has already been through the devastation of loosing their parents.

The crisis in Gaza continues to spiral, with each day more devastating than the last. The continued violence has orphaned thousands of children and left many traumatised, unaccompanied or separated from their parents in the Gaza Strip.

Children Not Numbers is dedicated to improving the lives of children in Gaza through a comprehensive approach to health, safety, education, and rehabilitation. Composed of medics, lawyers, mental health professionals, and volunteers from around the globe, they work tirelessly to address the unique needs of these young individuals and support their growth and well-being in the face of extreme, conflict induced, hardship. Their Orphan Support Programme provides holistic support to enhance the wellbeing and livelihoods of orphaned children and the families caring for them. This support aims to keep these children within their communities while alleviating the unexpected financial and emotional burden the additional child has on their host family.

For an average of £74 per child, per month, we can provide a holistic package of support that covers every aspect of their wellbeing:

1) Medical care: regular health checks to protect against illness.
2) Emotional support: check-ins with a social worker and access to psychological care.
3) Nutritious food & hygiene essentials: enough to sustain an entire family.
4) Warm clothing: seasonal outfits to shield them from the cold and give them dignity year-round.
5) Education: the chance to keep learning, even in the face of hardship.

The team also sources emergency shelter when needed. Tents cost on average £330 per tent - a vital lifeline as the harsh winter months in Gaza draw closer.
