Public Sector Challenge – Peak Pursuit!Taking place in the heart of the East Midlands
The Mayor of the East Midlands, Claire Ward and Amy Harhoff, Chief Executive at East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA), are donning their walking boots to raise funds for charity.
They will be heading to a gem of the East Midlands, the Peak District to take part in the Public Sector Challenge – Peak Pursuit. This exciting event taking place in September 2025, isn’t just about the physical challenge, it’s about raising funds that will change lives.
We’re proud to that both the Mayor and CEO of the EMCCA will be taking part in this year’s event, raising vital funds for Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation. Plus, it’s great to have this year’s challenge in the Peak District, which has some of the most stunning walks in the country.
This a major fundraising challenge, that people from all over the country take part in. It began in 2023, and they have already raised an incredible £243,868 for charity. But the goal is to reach £1 million by 2028.
