Wadworth's 150 Charity Cycle Ride: Honouring Our Heritage, Supporting Our Community
As part of our 150th Anniversary celebrations, a determined team from Wadworth will be taking on an incredible challenge — the 150 Charity Cycle Ride.
🚴 From Fulham to Saltford — 150 Miles for 150 YearsOn 1st September, the team will depart from Wadworth’s Kings Arms Pub in Fulham, embarking on a scenic yet demanding journey that will end on 3rd September at the Wadworth Riverside Pub in Saltford, just outside Bath.
This ride pays tribute to our founder, Henry Wadworth, who, back in 1869, famously completed a similar route — not on a modern road bike, but on a penny farthing! In true Wadworth spirit, we’re riding in his historic wheel tracks to raise money for two outstanding charities.
💙 The Charities We're SupportingAll proceeds raised will be split equally between:
Julia’s House – A remarkable children’s hospice caring for children with life-limiting, life-threatening, or terminal conditions. Most of the children supported by Julia’s House are unlikely to reach adulthood. Your support helps bring comfort, care, and precious memories to these families.
The Licensed Trade Charity – Offering vital practical, emotional, and financial help to pub, bar, and brewery workers facing difficult times. They are a lifeline for many in the hospitality industry.
🙌 How You Can HelpWhether you cheer us on, donate, or simply share our story, every little helps. Together, we can honour 150 years of Wadworth while giving back to those who need it most.
Stay tuned for updates, rider stories, and how to get involved!
