Team ROWMADS – GB Row Challenge 2026
In the summer of 2026, Team ROWMADS will take on one of the world’s toughest rowing races: a 2,000+ mile, non-stop, unsupported row around the entire coast of Great Britain.
We are a team of six ordinary people taking on an extraordinary challenge. Pushing our limits physically, mentally, and emotionally for a cause far bigger than ourselves.
For weeks, we will live entirely onboard our rowing boat, carrying all our supplies, navigating ever-changing tides, unpredictable weather, and whatever else this little island throws at us. With no luxury of land, it is just six of us against the elements, rowing in relentless shifts, day and night, until we make it home.
This isn’t just a race against time, tide, and fatigue, it’s a journey with purpose.
Along the way, we’ll be supporting vital medical and environmental research, documenting our journey to contribute to both physical and mental endurance studies. Most importantly, we will also be rowing to raise money and awareness for a group of incredible charities, each one close to our hearts:
Stef is raising for 🟠 Day One Trauma Support – Helping patients and families rebuild their lives after catastrophic injury, offering essential practical, emotional, and legal support when it’s needed most.Marco is raising for 🔥 The Fire Fighters Charity – Providing lifelong health and wellbeing support to the fire services community, from frontline firefighters to control room staff and their families.Felix is raising for 🚁 Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance Services – Life-saving rapid response teams providing critical care to those in urgent need, often in remote or difficult-to-access locations.Mike is raising for 🌊 RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) – A volunteer-powered lifeboat service and a charity that has saved countless lives at sea for nearly 200 years.Laurence and Fergus are raising for 🏄 Surfers Against Sewage – A marine conservation charity fighting to protect our oceans, beaches, and wildlife from pollution and climate breakdown.
Each stroke we take is for the people these organisations help: the lives they save, the futures they restore, the waters they protect.
Please support our journey by donating to one (or more!) of our chosen charities. Every contribution, big or small, helps these vital causes continue their life-changing work.Follow our journey, support the cause, and help us turn every mile into meaningful impact.
From all of the ROWMADS - thank you so much for your support and for being part of the team.
