Bizz Waterhouse's Bear Inns's Pub To Pub Half Marathon
7876
The inaugural Pub to Pub half marathon takes place on Sunday 1st June 2025. Travelling along parts of the Sandstone trail overlooking the stunning Cheshire plain, the route starts at the Swan in Tarporley and finishes at the Lion in Malpas.
The event would not be possible without the kind sponsorship of Barlows Electrical (www.barlowsuk.co.uk)
This is no ordinary half marathon! As well as being marginally longer at 13.6 miles, the route takes in nearly 500m of ascent over mixed terrain from road to track to field. (The event marks the launch of The Great Pub to Pub Walk – visit www.bearinns.co.uk for more information).
The Swan and the Lion are two pubs owned by Si and Chrissy Lees Jones and operated by Bear Inns. Si, very sadly passed away in October 2024 and the race will be organised by the team at Bear Inns and run in his memory.
The event is designed to a be a tough challenge but with a really vibrant family feel. It is aimed to raise many funds for two charities that were very close to Si:
