As part of our 45th-anniversary celebrations, DRPG set out to make a difference – not only in our industry but in the wider community. From 12th to 15th May 2025, CEO Dale Parmenter and the Marketing Team, took on our most ambitious challenge yet: a 200 mile journey along the UK’s longest river, the Severn.
Starting at the source in Plynlimon, Wales, and ending at the Severn Bridge, the four-day Source to Sea Challenge saw the challengers run, cycle and kayak through unpredictable terrain and weather conditions to raise vital funds for four exceptional charities aligned with our values:
🌍 Environmental: Severn Rivers Trust – Protecting and enhancing the River Severn.
💙 Community: Wheels for All – Making cycling accessible for all, regardless of ability.
🤝 Industry Support: Meeting Needs – Event professionals raising funds and changing lives worldwide.
🎭 Next Generation: Creative Futures Trust (via The King’s Trust) – Empowering young people through the arts and creative industries.
The challenge may be complete, but the journey isn’t over. Our goal is to raise £20,000 – £5,000 for each charity – by the time we officially celebrate our 45th anniversary in June.
💙 Help us reach the finish line. Your donation will support these charities in creating lasting, meaningful change.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors – Attivo, OWB Creative, ICE, and the Chartered Institute of Export – for powering this initiative and helping us go the distance.
