5 Peaks Mountain Adventure

UPDATE 29/6/25:
Last Thursday we completed our epic trip with our ascent of the beautiful Carrauntoohil, returning back to the UK on Friday. We were all pretty weary but elated that we had done this amazing adventure together.

Thank you so much to all who have already supported us, and we will still gratefully accept donations for any coming here for the first time!

STORY NARRATIVE:
In June this year a bus full of us will be attempting an epic multi day, multi mountain adventure in support of a couple of great causes - really grateful for any help you are able to give us.

The team includes Dave, Gill and Lucy Moore, Jasper and Rachel Clark, Will James, Cameron James and Lily Quinn. Plus we'll have Ben and Fran Bell, and Paul Glennon joining us on the Emerald Isle :)

OUR EPILEPSY STORY (Jasper & Rachel)
Two key things have happened to make this an important cause for us:
o In 2007 we lost our 32 year old uncle / brother Alex Clark to SUDEP (sudden death in epilepsy)
o In late 2023 our daughter / sister Jen became epileptic at age 24
Both of these mean that we're proud to support the work of The Epilepsy Society in finding out more about causes and treatments for epilepsy.

OUR GUIDE DOGS STORY (Dave, Gill and Lucy)
As some of you know, our 1 year old grandson/nephew, Albie, was born with a rare genetic condition called Leber Congenital Amaurosis (LCA) meaning he is severely visually impaired and registered blind.
Whilst Albie’s diagnosis is heartbreaking, the whole family is committed to giving him every opportunity in life. This is where the help of the Guide Dogs charity will be invaluable. They support visually impaired children (along with adults) by equipping them and their families with the skills needed to live an active and fulfilling life. We are proud to support Guide Dogs through this challenge.
