Conquering the Welsh 3000s: A Journey of Challenge and Change
In the rugged beauty of Snowdonia National Park, a challenge awaits—a challenge that’s as much about grit and determination as it is about giving back. Eight friends, Adam, Paul, Phil, Richard, Jonathan, Colin, James and David who met many moons ago at Ealing Rugby Club (or well before that at school, in the case of Adam and David), bonded by a love for the outdoors and a shared passion for making a difference, are setting out to complete one of the UK’s most daunting mountaineering feats: The Welsh 3000s Challenge.
The mission? To climb all 15 peaks over 3,000 feet in Wales in under 24 hours, covering nearly 30 miles and enduring more than 12,000 feet of total ascent. It’s not just about reaching the summits; it’s about pushing limits, embracing uncertainty, and finding strength in one another.

But why are we doing this? Because this journey isn’t just about us—it’s about supporting causes that are close to our hearts. We’re taking on this challenge to raise funds for Hector’s House and 9 Lives Furniture, local charities that are transforming lives in ways that truly matter.
Why We Need Your Support
Training for the Welsh 3000s is no walk in the park. It involves long days of preparation, endless climbs, aching legs, and moments of self-doubt. But knowing that our efforts will contribute to something bigger keeps us going. Your sponsorship will not only motivate us to keep climbing when fatigue sets in but will also make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
How You Can Help
Whether it’s a small donation or simply sharing our story, or even joining us on the mountains, your support means the world to us. Every pound raised brings us one step closer to our goal—both on the mountain and in the lives we aim to uplift.
So, join us on this journey. Together, we can reach new heights and make a lasting impact.
Some good friends have already said they will join us on the mountains, once confirmed 100% we will add them to the page so you can also donate to them directly.
Thank you for believing in us.
