The Mayor of Elmbridge Firewalk
5940
I will do a walk on the fire at Painshill Park Cobham on the 20th of March this year to join The Mayor of Elmbridge Firewalk!I always wanted to do the fire walk - it was within me. This opportunity came a cross my workplace at Elmbridge Council, which I took straight away. It is one of the steps on my spiritual journey which I started a couple of years ago, as I am an energy healer; I felt I would do this fire walk. On the other hand, this is an amazing opportunity to raise the awareness for amazing charities. I have chosen to support three charities such as Home-Start Elmbridge, The Mayor of Elmbridge Trust and Rentstart.
Home-Start Elmbridge is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age. It offers practical and emotional support to families who are struggling to cope for a variety of reasons, from illness, poverty, and isolation through to domestic violence and poor mental health. Home-Start Elmbridge is there for parents when they need it most because childhood can’t wait.
The Mayor of Elmbridge Trust also supports vulnerable families within Elmbridge. It looks to provide funding for necessary furniture and household items/services such as beds, washing machines, fridges, rugs, support with educational expenses, books and equipment and sometimes a contribution towards necessary disability equipment, where it is not met by the NHS.
Rentstart Walton is a charity, where they work with Landlords to support those facing homelessness or vulnerably housed access to the private rented sector. Their work usually involves support with deposits and finding affordable rent, but we're highly flexible and individual focused so we do much more than that.
Please do sign up to take part and/or donate today to help us achieve our goal of raising £10,000 for Home-Start Elmbridge, The Mayor of Elmbridge Trust and Rentstart Walton.
£25 sign-up fee via link to secure your place.

We are a charity helping local people in Elmbridge who are homeless or vulnerably housed. Each year we house and support around 150 people and help them move on with their lives. Our work usually involves support with deposits and finding affordable rent, but we're highly flexible and individual focused so we do much more than that.
