THE BRITISH RED CROSS - GAZA CRISIS APPEAL
The ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis in Gaza is catastrophic – and winter will make things even harder. The near-total destruction of infrastructure and reliance on aid means the freezing temperatures and potential floods could be deadly. We are witnessing unacceptable and relentless human suffering. The sheer scale of the response and recovery effort needed in Gaza and across the region will require funding for many years to come. Aid alone will not solve this crisis, but it will save lives.
MEDICINEMA - “FEEL BETTER WITH FILM”
The MediCinema charity builds and operates state-of-the-art cinemas inside 7 UK hospitals, specially designed to accommodate beds, wheelchairs and medical equipment. MediCinema’s service offers NHS patients a visit to a ‘real’ cinema, showing the very latest films. The experience improves the quality of life for over 16,000 NHS patients and their families every year through the magic of film.
