Snowdon Climb and Royal Parks Half Marathon in memory of Philip Rowlands
Sadly, at the start of this year, I lost my incredible dad, Phil, to cancer.
To celebrate his life, Helen and I will be climbing Yr Wyddfa (Mt Snowdon) to raise money for Myton hospice and also be running the London Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for Marie Currie. Both of these incredible organisations provide end-of-life care and looked after Phil in his final months with dignity and kindness.
Myton is a Warwickshire based hospice who focus on providing care and support to patients and families. They were instrumental in supporting my dad when he left Coventry Hospital and helped him come home to be as a family. Even at home he remained a part of the Myton Family with regular contact from nurses and doctors to help care for him.
Marie Curie provided incredible support for my dad and our family in the final months of his life. They provided amazing nurses who would care for my dad overnight and on the night he passed were on hand to comfort and make all the arrangements.
Both these charities rely solely on donations to carry on their incredible work so anything you can spare will go a long way to provide support to families like ours.
All donations will be split equally between Myton Hospice and Marie Curie.
Thank you so much,
Owen and Helen
