Suffolk Coastal Path 50K Ultra Marathon
4161
So....... I’m gearing up to tackle the Suffolk Coastal Path 50k Ultra Marathon race this September. Yep, you heard that right, 50k of continuous running!
This will be my first Ultra and it's slightly daunting, so I need your help!
You might be thinking, "Why on earth would anyone do that?"
Well, let me tell you.
I’m doing this in honour of my incredible Mum, Nova, who bravely battled Parkinson's Disease for over 25 years before she passed away last year. She was a true warrior, and I want to pay tribute to her incredible spirit.
I’ll also be running to support two fantastic charities: Parkinson's UK and St Elisabeth Hospice, both of which have been important for me and my family.
Parkinson's UK is all about funding breakthrough treatments and, ultimately, trying to find a cure. They’re also there to support everyone living with the disease, making sure no one has to face it alone.
Then there’s St Elizabeth Hospice. They transformed Mum’s last days into a time of love, care, and dignity. Their kindness and professionalism left a lasting impression on me, and I’m forever grateful for their support.
I’ll be splitting all the funds I raise 50/50 between these two great causes.
Lastly, the race fittingly ends in Aldeburgh (starting in Lowestoft!?!), where Mum spent many happy years. When I saw this race, it felt like a sign—I had to go for it.
So, if you can spare anything at all, however small, it would mean a lot.
Trust me, knowing I’ve got your support will make those last few kilometres feel slightly less insane.
Thank you.
