Welcome to the fundraising page of Stewart, Paul and Steve.
I last completed this ride in 2019 and have signed up again, this time my Sons-in-Law; Paul Warren and Steve Carter will join me. The aim of this challenge is to raise money for Fight Bladder Cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.
Many of you know that I developed Bladder Cancer in 2019, it is with thanks to QA Hospital, Cosham, Portsmouth that I am currently clear of the disease. The Charities Fight Bladder Cancer and Prostate Cancer UK were and still remain an immense source of support to me and my family.
I am a Fight Bladder Cancer Community Champion and spend time raising awareness of the disease and perhaps more importantly advise people of the help and support that is available, from the Charity.
There are likely to be some of you that have family members that are also afflicted with this disease, so please check out Facebook, Fight Bladder Cancer
In the UK 20000 new cases of Bladder Cancer are diagnosed, the disease affects ALL Ages, Men and Women. Cases of Prostate Cancer is even greater with in excess of 52000 new cases (2018 figure).
Earlier this year I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. I am grateful that the Radiotherapy treatment I have received has defeated this disease.
Fight Bladder Cancer was founded by a patient and is run by patients and carers. From humble beginnings it has grown to become the most active advocacy group and charity for bladder cancer in the UK.
Prostate Cancer UK was founded in 1996 and men diagnosed then faced a very different future. Today, over £75 million pounds worth of research has transformed the prognosis for many of Prostate Cancer Patients.
Thousands of people a year reach to our Specialist Nurses team, anxious or confused but leave informed and reassured.
Please Support Paul Steve and I to raise much-needed funds for Fight Bladder Cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.
Your generosity can and will make a world of difference, it will also be greatly appreciated by us and the Charities. Please share our fundraiser with your family, friends and colleagues.
Thank You,
Steve, Paul and Stewart
