In just under two weeks, I will be on the starting line for the London Marathon having put in for the ballot last year knowing how unlikely it would be to get a place on my first attempt (whoops). As a non-runner, this probably wasn't my smartest idea, but I guess it was the universe telling me to give it a go!

So, here I am, and I need your support to get me through it. I'm fundraising for two charities that have provided fantastic support to my family in the past few years.

First up - Kingfisher Ward (care of Dorset Council Hospital Charity) who provided fantastic care to both boys (and me) when they suffered seizures in their early years - Jesse in particular was a frequent flyer until recently.

And secondly, the marvellous Ronald McDonald House that allowed by brother and sister-in-law to stay close to my baby nephew Jasper when he was born needing surgery last year (which he took like a champ :))

Two fantastic charities for which I would love to repay the favour, even if it means I have to run a marathon to do it!
