Niks Three Peaks Challenge - for Teenage Cancer Trust
*** UPDATE*** Originally, I was planning to complete the Three Peaks to raise money for my Dad "Dave Harvey" as he was undertaking Chemotherapy for his Prostate, Liver and Lymphnode Cancer.
Sadly, Dad didn't survive the treatment and he passed away peacefully on the 7th March surrounded by his family. This has changed my focus but not my intent.
I am now completing the Three Peaks challenge in memory and honour of my father. So please give generously to this incredible cause.
THANK YOU
1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime.
This is very personal for me, as my father has recently been diagnosed with cancer for the second time.
Having fought off prostate cancer a few years back, it is now back on his liver and he is currently undertaking 16 rounds of Chemo in episode 2 of his fight. As an ex-boxer, and one of the founders of the Malmesbury Boxing Club I think this is an apt analogy.
I am personally undertaking the challenge of the Three Peaks as support for Dad, as I can't help him through this challenging time but can try to raise money to support others in a similar position. Chemo has side effects including exhaustion, lack of sleep, lack of energy etc. This challenge is probably the closest I can get to understanding this and being able to start to relate to what he is going through.
Please give what you can for this worthy cause.
Employees across Tenth Revolution Group are undertaking the legendary Three Peaks Challenge this year in support of Teenage Cancer Trust, our charitable partner in the UK.
As part of our company’s Wellbeing Matters program, which supports our employees’ mental health and physical wellbeing, we’re embarking on this epic challenge between 17th-19th May 2024. Across our business, 40 employees will climb the tallest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in just 24 hours.
Not only is this an opportunity for participants to raise funds for a good cause, but it’s also a chance for them to push their body and mind to new limits, build their resilience and discover the beauty of Britain’s natural landscape.
Everyone who takes part will be raising £510 for Teenage Cancer Trust, which will help the charity to continue their amazing work supporting young people living with cancer.
We hope you will show your support and contribute to this fundraising initiative, helping us to meet and exceed our collective £20,400 target.
