Hey,
I am raising money for Almost Home Animal Rescue NI by running a leg of the Belfast Marathon in May - I am not a runner in the slightest (unless to the fridge for snacks) - so this is a big deal!
Almost Home is a charity with a team of dedicated volunteers working with the aim to rescue and rehome animals that have been abandoned or neglected. Whilst mainly dealing with dogs, they also dedicate their time to helping cats, rabbits and a wide variety!
The money raised will go towards food, bedding and veterinary treatment - which is extensive due to the abuse and neglect a lot have suffered.
I understand not everyone is in the position to donate; however I would be very appreciative of anything you can spare. They are also always on the lookout for volunteers if this is an alternative way in which you can show support.
