Hospices to Holland Bike Ride
2280
Hi all, we are Martin and Matthew Bilton (father and son) and we are taking on the ‘Hospices to Holland’ challenge. We will be cycling 280 miles over 4 days in September from Eastbourne to Amsterdam. Our fundraising will be shared 50:50 between St Michael's and St Wilfrid's hospices.
As cycling novices we are both excited to take on this challenge, having each other there for moral support will spur us on in terms of training and fundraising too! We have already started some practice rides and have realised we both need to invest in some proper cycling gear and padded protection!
We both have family members working in these hospices and so are regularly hearing about the amazing work they do in their communities; we appreciate that this wouldn't be possible without charitable donations. Closer to home right now, my mum and Matt's grandma is receiving palliative care with St Wilfrid's, so this is very much our personal incentive to raise as much money as we can.
Thank you from both of us for donating.
