As most of you will know I am a supporter of Friends of Anchor due to the amazing support they provided my 2 best friends during their battles with cancer. Sadly we lost both of these amazing ladies but in their honour I will continue to support this amazing local charity with whatever fundraising events I can.

The other two charities are again local and provide support to local people in need.

Times are hard just now, fuel prices are up, utilities are up, food costs a fortune and we are all struggling with this increase in the cost of living but please if you can spare even just a few pence, it all helps to support these fantastic charities.

I am taking on the Aberdeen Runway Run on 3rd September at midnight. A rare opportunity to get on the runway without a plane.

I have not attempted to run any distance since doing the 5k a day in May back in 2020 when I ended up with plantar faciitis and shin splints so although the runway in Aberdeen feels very very short when youre landing on it in a plane, on my two feet after 2 1/2 years of no running, it may feel very long.
